Ultrasound scans are such a lovely way to help children understand what’s happening - making it feel real, exciting, and something they can be part of too. Watching their reactions as they see baby on the screen is always so special.

Why have a Gynaecological Pelvic Scan with PAMS?
This scan can help if you’re experiencing:
• Pelvic pain
• Irregular periods or menstrual concerns
• Ongoing or unexplained symptoms
• Suspected fibroids or ovarian cysts
• Conditions such as polyps, fibroids or PCOS
• The need for clear information to support treatment in or outside the UK

What to expect:
• A transvaginal scan using a specially designed ultrasound probe
• Assessment of the size, shape and condition of the uterus
• Detailed inspection of the womb lining (endometrium)
• Full assessment of both ovaries
• Checking for cysts, fibroids, polyps and endometriosis
• Confirmation of IUCD placement (if applicable)
• A full medical report of findings

There’s a lot of debate around when to tell people you’re pregnant. Some wait until 12 weeks. Some tell one person straight away. Some share early… and some keep it completely to themselves. Not telling anyone in those early weeks can feel surprisingly isolating.
Telling people earlier can bring support, reassurance, and understanding - especially on the harder days. However, waiting can feel protective, private, ‘safer’ and calmer for some.

There are pros and cons to both.
What matters most is choosing what feels best for you - emotionally, not socially.
