It’s Children’s Mental Health Week - a time to reflect on how early understanding, inclusion, and support shape mental wellbeing for life.

Children with disabilities and long-term health conditions are more likely to experience mental health challenges due to barriers, exclusion, and lack of awareness.

By creating inclusive environments early on, we help build a more understanding and compassionate society - including future workplaces.

Like & share to raise awareness.

Adjustment of the Month: Flexible Start Times

Flexible start times can be a simple but powerful adjustment for people managing:
• Epilepsy
• Chronic fatigue
• Neurodivergent needs
• Long-term health conditions

Often, small changes can make the biggest difference.
Inclusion doesn’t always require complex solutions - just thoughtful ones.

Awareness days start important conversations - but real inclusion happens when awareness leads to action.

Disability awareness training helps organisations move from:
Awareness ➡ Understanding ➡ Inclusive behaviour

Training builds confidence, reduces stigma, and helps teams support colleagues effectively - not just in theory, but in practice.

💬 Myth: Disability is always visible.
✅ Reality: Many disabilities are invisible.

Conditions such as epilepsy, chronic pain, mental health conditions, and neurodivergence may not be immediately obvious - yet they can still affect how someone experiences work.

Inclusive workplaces avoid assumptions and create environments where people feel safe to ask for support when they need it.

Awareness starts with understanding what we can’t see.
