When we set up we wanted to give something back to our community, the locality we both reside in. We wanted to create affordable classes, birthing communities, and postnatal networks for what is the most incredible journey that most people will go on.
A big part of that was setting up our postnatal sessions , because actually there isn’t anything like that around in this area. It’s become a highlight of our calendar, where new mums can come for a debrief about their birth, for feeding support, for general postnatal support or to make friends! We love this group so much, and hope in the future to be able to increase the time we both can give to it. It would be great to run the session weekly, but with our current work commitments we just can’t in the short term. But we want the group to be inclusive for local parents, and hope that once they leave our group they will continue to thrive within the support networks they have started. Of course this group is FREE, so please do spread the word.
Talking of inclusion and equality, we believe face-to- face antenatal education should be available to all those who want to per-sue it. Therefore we wanted to highlight that if you want to join our classes, but finances are an issue, please message us and we will help you if we can! If our classes aren’t full, we will find you a space!
We hope you are all having a lovely weekend, we are looking forward to welcoming our October group this week, of which we have a space left, so as mentioned, if anyone would like it, but cannot afford the cost, please get in touch.
Thank you
Jo and Sam
