🎄CHRISTMAS CARD MAKING🎄

We had a great time this morning making some handmade cards with Lin and Kerry, using buttons as baubles!😊❤️

We had a bit of “help” from our little elves too🧝💚, but one of them was really mischievous and we caught him too late spilling the bottle of milk!!🥛

We can’t wait for Clayton to come and sing this afternoon!

🧳🧳 Look who’s arrived at Brooklands and made themselves right at home! 🏡

Jingle and Jangle are settling in well in their new room and already super excited for our first week in December ⭐️ especially 'dress like an Elf' day on Wednesday and our candlelight Christmas concert on Friday evening!🎶

We look forward to seeing you all during the festive season. 🎄🎅

🦝 What a wonderful afternoon on our Treetops unit today with the lovely Karyn and her friends.

Puppet therapy is such an amazing activity for our residents who have varying degrees of dementia and it’s even better when staff join in and have fun 🤩.

Giggles and full on belly laughing filled the unit and it was really beautiful to see our residents have fun and cuddles with the little furries. 🦨

Thank you to Karyn, Bandit the ferret Rodney the raccoon Pepe the skunk Leslie the deer 🦌 and Phill the platypus for your company 🥰

🩰BIRTHDAY & BALLET SHOW🩰

🎉🎂What a treat for our dear Heather to celebrate her birthday in the company of Dance Time School !

It was a feast for the eyes to witness this "thrilling" array of dance skills from all ages👯

Thank you so much to Claudia too, who had her daughter performing, we loved it!😊

We can’t wait for the children to come back again next year and to connect once more with our community!❤️🩰

🎄CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL 🎄

🎄We have been embracing Christmas by visiting Fakenham Christmas Tree Festival and celebrating the work of lots of charities including Alzheimer's Society🙏❤️

⛪️ It was a special trip for Sean who used to live in Fakenham, and for John as he had visited the Church with his wife in 1959.💒

Let’s not forget a superb shopping trip to Roys of Bowthorpe in the morning for Jackie and Michael😊🛍️

A perfectly wintery morning spent with Marie from Debutots and the children from Orchidale Children's Nursery Ltd.

We have such fun 🤩 throwing snowballs and listening to the magical story about the little snowflake and meeting a mischievous ⛄️ snowman.

We ended our session today by making 2 finger print Christmas trees! 🌲 one of which we framed and will display in our reception ❤️

Oh what an afternoon of music and dance with our own DJ chef Ian!!⭐️🎵🎄

We all agreed it was a blast and we loved how the Christmas tunes came alive!

What a fabulous atmosphere and so well attended by residents, families and staff. ☺️

Firstly to Councillor Caroline Karimi-Ghovanlou for giving us her time and doing the honours;

the wonderful Trinity Church Singers for giving us an uplifting performance; 🎶

Chocky and Lulu the miniature donkeys for putting a smile on so many faces 🫏 🫏

the chefs for their gorgeous winter warmer soup and buffet selection; 🧑‍🍳🧑‍🍳
