🤞WISH TRIP 🤞

Today Pat enjoyed a trip out that she requested last month, which was to visit some charity shops.

We took her to a couple of large and spacious venues so that she could move around and browse independently.

She came away with a handful of novels. Pat loves to lose herself in a good book. 📖

🧈GALETTE DES ROIS🧈

This morning we baked a traditional sweet almond pie and shared it at lunchtime😋

Lots of concentration and fun as we weighed, stirred and created a very “professional” looking pie☺️ said Beryl.

Well done to our bakers! Watch out Ian, you have some serious competition!!😁

🌨️ A Snowy Tuesday outing to explore a new recommendation for a cosy cafe ☕️

Jan and Margaret braved the very cold 🥶 weather and snowy ❄️ day to go and try out Franks cafe and bakery in Old Catton today. 😊

The general consensus was that it is a lovely place with plenty of space, lovely staff and delicious drinks and cake 🍰

It was agreed 👍 we will be making it a regular spot for our tea and cake outings in future! 👏

🦜INTERNATIONAL BIRD DAY🦜

We enjoyed a bird fun fact quiz and wordsearch this afternoon as we quicked off our week🤔🕊️

It may be snowing outside, but we enjoyed being together and test our knowledge in readiness for the big bird watch at the end of the month😊

WHATEVER TAKES YOUR FANCY 🙂

Sunday afternoon should be all about what suits your mood.

Today on Treetops a few of our lovely residents wanted quiet time with their favourite companions or an afternoon nap to digest their Sunday roast.🍽️

Those with a bit more energy enjoyed ball games in the lounge. 👏

❄️WINTER FUN 🌨️

Our residents were quite excited this morning to watch it snowing and suggested to Catherine and Claudia that they find out if snow is as cold as it used to be and report back. 😉

CREATIVE CRAFTING 😁

Some of our lovely residents set to work this afternoon to start making door handle hangers for every bedroom. When a hanger is on display it’s a signal to others to say ‘please do not disturb’.

Our residents were very enthusiastic and did some lovely work. 👏

Birthday 🎉 celebrations for our dear Iris who was over the moon with her beautiful cake 🎂

While down in the lounge we took some time to reflect and reminisce the past year and make wishes and resolutions for 2026!
