Day Case Unit Registered Nurse
Job Description
Working with the Clinical Lead, the post holder will be ensuring the delivery of care to a consistently high standard, following policies and procedures.
The post holder will be assisting the Clinical Lead in maintaining the efficiency of the Day Surgery Unit including Ward, Recovery and Pre Assessment, developing a team and monitoring quality standards. Day Surgery ward duties may be required.

As part of the team you will be valued and supported to use your existing knowledge and skills whilst developing any new skills required as opportunities arise to develop the service further.
This is a part-time post 20 hours per week. The unit is currently open from Monday - Friday from 07.00am - 20.00pm hours.

This post is for an experienced surgical nurse to join the team to work on the Day Surgery Ward, admitting patients and caring for them during their recovery period until they are ready to be discharged home.

Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
-Demonstrate consistent adherence to best clinical practices and take responsibility for your actions within the framework of the NMC code of conduct.
-Provide support to team members, serving as a role model and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
-Maintain accurate records of patient care.
-Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality.
-Champion innovation and contribute to the enhancement of care delivery methods and resource utilisation.
Your Experience/Qualifications
A minimum one-year previous experience of working in a similar role.
Experience in Surgical Settings
-Qualified Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
-Post-registration clinical experience.
-Understanding of clinical governance principles and their practical application.
-Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
