2023 has been a year full of incredible milestones, from achieving wellness goals that felt out of reach to earning professional coaching certification, and now starting to help others on their unique journeys too.

Sometimes (and often) life will throw you a curveball. A thing you weren't expecting that demands your attention and throws off all the good intent and actions you had planned for yourself.

But not all is lost! The more you can learn to accept and adapt in those moments, 'adjusting your sails' as needed, the more chance you have of thriving as best you can in those times rather than simply surviving.

When it feels like the windโ€™s constantly blowing against you, give yourself some self-compassion and encouragement - youโ€™re doing the best you can and thatโ€™s always enough ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

The darts is a firm favourite in our house and the boys have been asking to go for ages!! Such an awesome crowd, atmosphere and the best fancy dress costumes ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘Œ
We topped it off with a pit stop at the F1 arcade (a must visit if youโ€™re an F1 / racing fan!), pizza and a sightseeing walk around Westminster before heading back to our holiday home on wheels๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽก๐Ÿฅฐ

My focus right now? Getting winter ready. โ„๏ธ In years gone by my healthy eating and exercise habits slip during winter and I never feel great as a result - but not this year!

I'm adamant to break that cycle so the thing I'm giving my immediate attention is building up healthy habits I can sustain through winter - that'll help me to FEEL GOOD!

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ February 2020, I was fed up and frustrated having ploughed into another new year diet/exercise regime that was a killer to maintain and I wasn't even getting the results I wanted. It felt like I was doing it all for nothing.

๐Ÿ’ก I figured I had nothing to lose, so I'd try something I hadn't before - and turned to my mindset. I tuned into what I was saying to myself and noticed a lot of self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and assumptions that it was no wonder I always found myself back at square one.

๐Ÿ”„ The one biggy? Despite wanting it, I always used to think "I could never be a size 12". I sometimes got close, but the means through which I'd get there were quick fixes - they were never going to last - and so the weight crept back on.

๐ŸŒˆ But something magical happened when I changed this to "I could be a size 12". I instantly felt optimistic, like 'heck why not, it could be me' and that ultimately then I had a choice. It wasn't a foregone conclusion that it'd never happen - it could happen. I could talk all day about the positive knock-on effects this one simple step had - including finally cracking that weight loss nut and becoming someone that now maintains a size 10.
