๐๏ธ February 2020, I was fed up and frustrated having ploughed into another new year diet/exercise regime that was a killer to maintain and I wasn't even getting the results I wanted. It felt like I was doing it all for nothing.
๐ก I figured I had nothing to lose, so I'd try something I hadn't before - and turned to my mindset. I tuned into what I was saying to myself and noticed a lot of self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and assumptions that it was no wonder I always found myself back at square one.
๐ The one biggy? Despite wanting it, I always used to think "I could never be a size 12". I sometimes got close, but the means through which I'd get there were quick fixes - they were never going to last - and so the weight crept back on.
๐ But something magical happened when I changed this to "I could be a size 12". I instantly felt optimistic, like 'heck why not, it could be me' and that ultimately then I had a choice. It wasn't a foregone conclusion that it'd never happen - it could happen. I could talk all day about the positive knock-on effects this one simple step had - including finally cracking that weight loss nut and becoming someone that now maintains a size 10.
