Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese healing technique that improves circulation, releases muscle tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes natural healing. This often results in temporary redness or bruising as part of the process.

Redness (Erythema):
It can indicate heat in the system
Mild and temporary
Caused by increased blood circulation
Usually fades within a few hours

Purple or Dark Red (Sha Bruising):
Indicates deeper stagnation or poor circulation
Common in areas with muscle tension or blockages
Can last from a few days to a week

Discoloration is a sign of “sha” (stagnation or heat ) being released, and its severity depends on the individual’s circulation, toxin buildup, and how often they receive Gua Sha. It is harmless and fades as the body heals.

The Japanese Massage Therapy is a pressure-kneading, full-body deep muscle massage consisting of over 100 steps and joint correction movements.
