This time last week I was heading off to Coventry to volunteer at my first event; British Junior Para Swimming Championships

It was an amazing day! As with other events I met some incredible young athletes, dedicated coaches and a team of fabulous support staff and volunteers

It’s taken me most of the week to recover but I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for next year!! I definitely recommend looking out for their other events and getting yourself there to watch 🙌

2 weeks after a nasty calf tear I’m so grateful to be finally making progress.. but I do realise what a terrible patient I am!!

This message and feedback has certainly cheered me up. It means so much 🤩

“It seems a bit sad that both boys are now both discharged from you, but it’s got to be looked at as a positive and the boys are doing so much better than they were before your help. We thank you so much for what you have done for us as a whole family. The boys being stronger has enabled them to enjoy life better, swimming, going on walks that was not possible in the past, plus the increase of self esteem that comes along with this, especially for G, it’s great to see him walking home with a friend from school, this was something that he didn’t ever do when in his wheelchair. The support and guidance you have given me, has given me the confidence to advocate for my boys and I am so very grateful. Sometimes it can feel like it’s me against the world and with a multitude of advice from different angles it’s very difficult 😵‍💫. Thank you for your support in many different ways”

Now gone to a new home!!

Equipment being gifted!

I have previously worked with a lovely family who are kindly wanting to gift their privately purchased Kitten specialist trike (size 1) as their daughter has outgrown it

All they ask is that it is collected rather than needing a delivery arranging. They are based in Bingham, Nottinghamshire (NG13). See photos for detail

If interested let me know and I will put you in touch with the family to arrange collection

* I haven't seen the trike recently so cannot comment on its condition, nor its suitability for your child. I have agreed to share this for the family in good faith *

A great day!

I’ve successfully updated my qualifications in emergency first aid training for both adults and paediatrics, including resus / CPR. This is training I’ve undertaken regularly since qualifying in 1996 and consider it a core skill. Thankfully I’ve never had anyone collapse at work in the community however I am well prepared if the worst happens

There is so much more to these photos than what you see at quick glance.. the effort Millie puts in is incredible. Firstly just being comfortable and accepting of physio is an achievement in itself. Add in just a few months ago turning her head to the right was so effortful her head would bob with exhaustion. Every week we do a work out targeting strengthening through play, always something different to challenge and develop her physical skills. What you can’t see is the fight she puts in to hold her body upright rather than fall forward which her body would naturally do. Many hours of hard work have got her here and I am so proud of her grit and determination 🤩🙌🏆

The end of an era!😮 I have been lucky enough to work alongside these 2 fabulous school support workers for the past 5 years taking a child all the way through their secondary school journey at The Becket School from Year 7 to Year 11. They have delivered my physio programme everyday without fail and have always been motivated to help in any way they can, always asking questions if unsure. I will continue to work with the young person in their new sixth form setting but it’s a goodbye for now to these 2 ladies! Thank you both, you have been wonderful to work with!! 🥰
