No fewer than 11 of the shortlisted entrants this year - individuals and organisations alike - are from our East Midlands region.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 24 April.

If you're a health care support worker or Nursing Associate in the East Midlands and you've been an RCN member for at least the last year, did you know you can stand for election to the RCN UK Nursing Support Workers Committee?

There's a vacancy on the committee for the remainder of 2026. If you're interested, you'll need two fellow members in our Nursing Support Worker membership category to support your nomination.

The closing date is 2 March.

It's been a busy few weeks for our RCN South Lincolnshire branch, who've visited Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, the branch's biggest employment site, on two separate occasions to celebrate and thank members for their hard work in 2025.

In November, as part of the national Nursing Support Workers Day celebrations, branch vice chair Jenny Creasey was joined by colleagues Lisa Thomas and Amanda Eliff in organising the delivery of goodie bags for nursing support worker members.

And this week, as they do ahead of every Christmas, branch representatives have been delivering festive 'thank you' treats to members across the hospital.
