π Earth Overshoot Day π
Today, we commemorate Earth Overshoot Day, the day on which more raw materials have been used worldwide than the Earth can produce in one year. This means that today we have already used up all the natural resources of 2025. In 2024, this day fell on August 1.
At Rotom, we stand for sustainable growth and strive to create a sustainable world for future generations. We do this by giving the Earth a helping hand:
πΉ Use and generation of green energy: This year, our goal is to use at least 50% renewable energy, which we do by generating energy via solar panels at our locations.
πΉ Use of circular load carriers, either through recycled material, pooling, rental or used load carriers.
πΉ In 2025, all Rotom production locations will be PeFC certified; our wood comes from sustainably managed forests and trees.
πΉ We are working to reduce greenhouse gases with the goal of achieving a 30% reduction by 2030.
Together, we strive for a more sustainable future and try to ensure that Earth Overshoot Day does not come even earlier next year. πβ»οΈ
