We are very proud to announce that Dr Clements has been made a Fellow of the Royal College in recognition of her work at the Abbey Medical Centre and in the local medical community.

Dr Clements says: I am excited to have received this honour and am thankful to the Royal College and those who nominated me.

The work I do would not be possible without the fantastic support I am given by the amazing team at the Abbey, members of the local Primary Care Network, and my ever-patient family and friends.

I look forward to the challenge of continuing to improve patient care and staff wellbeing into 2026!

From October to March we can’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight, so to keep bones and muscles healthy, it’s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D. You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers.

👩 Menopause will be included in NHS health checks for the first time to help millions of women get the support they need.

This will help raise awareness of symptoms like hot flushes, poor sleep and brain fog so no one has to suffer in silence.

NHS health checks are offered to eligible people aged 40-74 every five years.

They are aimed at identifying people with health risks including cardiovascular disease, stroke, kidney disease, type 2 diabetes and dementia.

Your pharmacist can provide treatment or some prescription medicine, if needed, for seven common conditions - without you seeing a GP.

Think pharmacy first and get seen by your local community pharmacy team.
