Perimenopause Vs Misophonia

Perimenopause does not usually cause Misophonia, but it can make existing sound sensitivity feel much worse because of specific neurochemicals.

The nervous system is already more stressed, often under-slept, hormonally fluctuating, experiencing hot flushes and so easier to activate.

Sometimes a person is dismissive about one's Misophonia.

"Hey Adam! Iโ€™m doing good thanks, still some low level โ€˜botherโ€™ but I honestly donโ€™t remember the last time I experienced fight or flight. Still *doing my exercises*"
