We're delighted to share that our participants at Nottingham Recovery Network are really enjoying Public Health's Citizen Social Science / Peer Research Training initiative! This programme offers a fantastic opportunity to learn how to design and conduct community research, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Participants receive one-to-one support and supervision to explore topics that matter to them, while also collaborating with other local residents.
Not only are they gaining valuable skills and confidence, but they also have the chance to boost their CVs with Level 2 aligned learning. The training spans four days, and each participant will complete a small, supported research project linked to Nottingham’s Health & Wellbeing Strategy.
Throughout the four sessions, participants are delving into the principles of Citizen Social Science and Peer Research, equipping them with the tools they need to make a real difference in their community. It's an amazing way to empower individuals and enhance the wellbeing of our neighbourhoods. Wishing our participants all the best for the rest of the programme!
