Why my job matters so much.
My job at Access2Care as a Home Care Assistant helps some of the most vulnerable people in our society remain safe and cared for in their own homes. There are so many things I do and no day is ever the same. I might be the only person they you see that day, I'm the first person you might see in the morning with a cheery hello and a cup of tea. I could help you get out of bed, showered, dressed and ready for the day. Then I might get your breakfast ready and then prompt you to take your medication safely. I'm going to ask you how you are today and will be careful to act if something doesn't seem right. I'll involve you in the decisions you make whilst I'm with you. I might be popping back at lunch time, tea time and bed time if you need me to. I might be the last person you see who tucks you into bed at night. I'll be there and you can depend on me. Such a privilege and a pleasure to do the job I do.

Good care isn’t just about stepping in when something goes wrong.
It’s about preventing things from getting to that point in the first place.

A missed meal. A small fall. A bit of confusion.
These moments might seem small — but over time, they can lead to bigger challenges.

The right support at home can help maintain independence, build confidence, and reduce the risk of hospital visits or further decline.

If you’re thinking about support for yourself or a loved one, we’re always here for a friendly chat 💙

After a stay in hospital, many people are offered short-term support at home — often for up to 6 weeks — to help with recovery.

But what happens when that support ends… and you’re still not quite back to yourself?

This is something we see all the time.

Recovery doesn’t always fit into a set timeframe. You might still feel unsteady, need help with day-to-day tasks, or just want the reassurance of someone being there.

That’s where ongoing support can make a real difference.

At Access2Care, we provide flexible, person-centred care at home, whether you need a little extra help or something more long-term.

If you or someone close to you is in this position, feel free to reach out — we’re always happy to have a friendly chat 💙

Tired of care calls being missed… or carers not turning up?
When you’re relying on support, whether it’s for yourself or a loved one, consistency isn’t a luxury - it’s essential.

It’s about knowing someone will be there.

At Access2Care, we focus on doing the basics properly.
Showing up, communicating clearly, and building trust you can rely on.

Because good care should never feel uncertain 💙

Care at Home - a very cost effective alternative to residential care.

With weekly costs between £1200- £1500 per week many people don't realise what a cost effective option care at home can be. A comprehensive care package is usually 4 calls a day with one or two carers and is usually half the cost of residential care. With the right care company we can care for you or your loved ones in the comfort of your own home without the need to go into residential care. We can liaise with District nurses, pharmacy's, GP surgeries providing a fully comprehensive package of care. www.access2care.co.uk, 07305 401641/ 0115 859 6074 e-mail access2care1@gmail.com

This Mother’s Day, we want to say thank you to all the amazing mums, grandmothers, carers and mother figures who make such a difference in people’s lives. Today, we celebrate the incredible women💐

At Access2Care, many of our carers bring the same kindness, patience and compassion to their work that mothers bring to their families. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea, helping with daily routines, or simply being there for a chat, these small moments mean the world to the people we support.

Your care, warmth and dedication never go unnoticed. 💙

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Access2Care.
