☾ Pink Moon ☾
Aprils full moon, also know as the Pink Moon will occur on Saturday 12th April. This moon is also known as a ‘micromoon’. Most people have heard of a supermoon, but a micromoon is (you guessed it) the opposite. It occurs when the moon is at its farthest point from the Earth and appears smaller than usual.
Despite the name, the moon won’t appear pink. It in fact gets its name from pink wildflowers called Phlox Subulata that are the earliest to bloom in spring.
A sacred lunar moment, in the years gone by, tribes used this moon to plan the planting of their flowers. This week, the pink moon is libra follows directly after weeks of retrograde, creating a cosmic gateway for relationship healing and inner balance. So if you’ve been feeling tension in your relationship, maybe an imbalance or things being one sided it’s time to use the energy of this moon to its full potential. Your intuition is already attuning to this energy, all you need to do is trust in it.
