The habit that will give you your power back? Take nothing personally.

Your sensitivity is a gift - but when you take everything personally, that gift turns into self-punishment.

This is where the Let Them Theory comes in.

Let Them think what they think, and then Let Me remind myself of the most important part:

I don’t have to take this personally.

From October to March we can’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight, so to keep bones and muscles healthy, it’s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D. You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers.

Flu cases in hospitals are the highest ever for this time of year.

But there are things you can do to help, like getting vaccinated, if eligible, and taking steps to protect older and more vulnerable family members.

More than 18 million people have already had a flu vaccine this season.

Flu vaccines don’t stop everyone from catching flu, but they do reduce the risk of becoming seriously unwell, needing hospital care or developing complications – especially for older adults and those with health conditions.

If you’re eligible and haven’t had yours yet, it’s not too late to get protected.

Sometimes the most serious 999 calls are the ones where nobody speaks....

Cambs Police recently received what sounded like a silent or accidental 999 call. At first there were only muffled noises. No response from the caller. But then a woman’s voice in the background shouted “get out”, with children crying.

That was enough. đź’™

999 Response Team officers were sent straight to the address and found a woman who had been threatened and assaulted by her partner. He had left before police arrived but was later arrested.

This is why silent 999 calls are never ignored.

If you ever need emergency help but cannot speak once the call connects, remember this:

Stay on the line.
When the call handler speaks, you may be asked to press 55.
This is the Silent Solution system. It tells the operator that you are in danger and cannot safely talk. They will then treat your call as an emergency and start sending help.

Domestic abuse victims often can’t speak openly. In an emergency, call anyway. Stay on the line. Press 55 when prompted.

It can save your life.
