There are many children living with disabilities and additional needs who just want to play and have fun. Unfortunately, they don’t often get the chance – there are often no playdates, no after school clubs, no holiday activities, no sleepovers… There are also so many people who want to do something amazing with their time and volunteer to help families in their community.

Luckily there's Positive Playmates, who we're happy to promote on our page.

Positive Playmates, part of Footprints CEC, is a befriender programme across the East Midlands to provide parents and carers with children living with disabilities, a chance to have some more support in the home. And to give people who want to volunteer an opportunity to make a real difference.

If you're a family with a child living with a disability or if you are interested in volunteering, please email Lucie on the address listed in the image, or follow Footprints Conductive Education Centre or join the Facebook group Positive Playmates. You can also leave a message with Footprints on 0115 958 6641.

On Remembrance Day, it's important to talk about the poppies worn by people and what the colours symbolise so you can identify them in public or choose to wear one aligning with your values.

Seated Yoga.

Seated Yoga will come to an end on November 28th. This decision has not been made lightly. Sadly, some weeks there are very few attendees, or even just one person, and at £35 a session, we can't afford this luxury.

It has been a pleasure to host these sessions and we are sad they are coming to an end. Pam will be helping people find something else for anyone who wants it.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
