I'm back! Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

This week, I will introduce you to our new Deep Oscillation practitioners.

First off, let's go to Glasgow!

Vaida Voitechovic is a dedicated HND Complementary Therapist, a RESTORE Scar Practitioner, and a Reiki Master who combines her therapeutic skills with the heart of a teacher (holding two B.A. (Hons) degrees in Education).

Over the past few years, Vaida has passionately dedicated herself to gaining extensive qualifications in various massage modalities to create a beautiful, holistic treatment experience. Following her heart, Vaida has specialised in integrating Restore Scar Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and Therapeutic Oncology Massage. Her passion lies in safely helping individuals with different types of scars and providing crucial support for those dealing with cancer or in their recovery process. Just love to end the week on a high! A week full of great results for Deep Oscillation and now this:

A DECADE OF RESULTS.

Excellent feedback confirming the long-term success (nearly 10 years of use) of the DEEP OSCILLATION® device for lipoedema management.

"I have been using my Physiopod since about 2016. It is easy and straightforward to use, I can do my abdomen, lower arms and thighs while my husband does the tops of my arms and calves. I get a lot of back pain, so my husband will use it to help with that as well, and it really helps to relax the muscles. My husband has a pacemaker, which is a contraindication for deep oscillation, so we use the oscillation heads instead, and these work really well.

I find regular use of the physiopod helps to soften fibrotic areas, which in turn, eases some of the pain. I use it about 3-4 times per week, but can do more if I feel it’s needed. It is quick and easy to get started, and programs run from between 20-30 mins, so it's easy to fit into anyone’s schedule. My MLD therapist also uses a Physiopod, and I feel this definitely enhances the MLD, and she is able to reduce any fibrosis quickly.

It is light and portable so I am able to take it with us when holidaying, it charges quickly and the battery lasts for ages. I’m considering more surgery, so will definitely be using my physiopod before, to ensure the Lipodema fat is as soft as possible, then after surgery to reduce swelling and fibrosis. Buying the physiopod was a good investment, and it is still working perfectly after nearly 10 years of regular use."

6 DAYS POST-UIP 2025: Breakthrough PMPS Research is LIVE!

We are thrilled to publish the findings of Lic. Rosario Pineda, presented at the XXI World Congress of the International Union of Phlebology (UIP) in Buenos Aires in 2025.

Working collaboratively with the Author, PhysioPod® UK converted Lic. Pineda’s original Spanish presentation and transformed it into an article to ensure her crucial 10-year case series on Post-Mastectomy Pain Syndrome (PMPS) reaches a global audience of professionals.

The Results are Groundbreaking:

PMPS, often characterised by moderate-to-severe neuropathic pain following breast surgery, was treated using Deep Oscillation (DO).

In the N=33 patient cohort, an early, specialised approach using DO proved highly effective in reducing pain.

• Pain Reduction: VAS scores decreased drastically from 9 to 1 by the 3-month mark.

• Function Restored: Patients achieved complete improvements in shoulder and arm functionality and successfully returned to daily activities.

Safety in Oncology:

DO is a safe adjuvant therapy. Its mechanism uses a nonthermal, intermittent electrostatic field at very low frequencies (5–250 Hz) that acts on connective tissue to promote microcirculation and reduce levels of algogenic substances. Crucially, these very low frequencies are incapable of stimulating cellular activity, including that of metastatic cells, thereby ensuring patient safety.

This work underscores the vital role of specialised vascular rehabilitation in improving the quality of survival after breast cancer surgery.

A new clinical case report examines multimodal therapy for severe Head and Neck Lymphoedema (HNL) and fibrosis, a common sequela of Head and Neck Cancer treatment, affecting up to 90% of individuals. Specialist Hipwell-Larken BSc details how Deep Oscillation Therapy (DOT), used as a crucial adjunct, drove rapid reductions in oedema and fibrosis in patient HMTTC. This approach resulted in significant gains in function, Quality of Life (QoL), and pain relief.
