🏋️♀️ HOW TO DO A PROPER SQUAT 🏋️♂️
The squat is one of the best functional fitness exercises — it strengthens your legs, glutes, and core, and helps with everyday movements like sitting, standing, and lifting safely.
Here’s how to do it properly:
✅ 1. Stand tall — feet shoulder-width apart, toes slightly turned out.
✅ 2. Brace your core — pull your belly button gently towards your spine.
✅ 3. Lower slowly — bend at the hips and knees, keeping your chest lifted and back straight. Imagine you’re sitting back into a chair.
✅ 4. Knees over toes — make sure your knees track in line with your toes (not collapsing inwards).
✅ 5. Go as low as you can comfortably — ideally, thighs parallel to the floor, but only as far as your mobility allows.
✅ 6. Push through your heels — stand back up, squeezing your glutes at the top.
Benefits of squats:
✔ Improves leg and core strength
✔ Boosts balance and stability
✔ Helps with everyday movements
✔ Supports joint health and flexibility
Remember: good form matters more than depth — quality over quantity!
