Every morning starts with my gratitude journal and today is no exception.

Yesterday, I spent the day celebrating the wedding of two special friends witnessing so much love and joy 🩵

Today I am reflecting on the love and care I have in my own life, the people I have in my circle of support, those who are always there. It is a gift for which I am very grateful.

Self care is about your mental, emotional and physical health.

It means we focus on promoting health as well as managing illness.

Self care isn’t just about looking after yourself once you are ill, it is about making sure you take action to LOOK AFTER YOURSELF before you become ill.

What will you do today?

A walk in the fresh air, a warm nurturing bath, a catch up with a good friend, eating a nourishing meal?

An important message these past few days.

Being driven, focused, getting through the work (or home) to do list can be gratifying - but at what expense?

What does it take for you to stop or slow down or focus on something other than a ‘to do’ list?

For me it was a family member being taken to A&E - thankfully they are on the road to recovery - but it stopped me in my tracks as my focus became about them.

Time to reflect on what was happening before this event - was I really living life or was I just ‘getting things done’?

It is about balance.
