A new study from Aarhus University and the University of Oxford found that when you listen to steady rhythms, like dance music, your brain starts reshaping itself in real time. It shifts how different parts connect and talk to each other, almost like the music is rewiring your system while it’s playing.
The researchers used a new brain scan method called FREQ-NESS to track how sound frequencies move across brain regions. The study, led by Dr. Mattia Rosso and Professor Leonardo Bonetti, shows that rhythm doesn’t only trigger a reaction but alsochanges the whole structure of your brain’s internal network as it happens.
