Today I visited a lovely client in hospital to offer feeding support during such a vulnerable and tender time.

We’re hoping she’ll be discharged tomorrow so we can continue her care and support at home. She’s booked for six weeks of postnatal care, and it feels really special to already have that connection after getting to know each other throughout her pregnancy.

Being able to walk alongside families from pregnancy into those early postnatal days is an absolute privilege 💞

Large breasts can be tricky. Gorgeous Miss A feeds comfortably because her mum uses some rolled up burp cloths to lift and stabilise the breast so that bub can snuggle in and latch well without needing to hold the weight of the breast.

Remember that the breast should be the stable object, your baby is the moving part!

👶 Hold your baby upright or side lying, close to you
🍼 Keep the bottle flat so the milk flows slowly
