People with dyslexia think and learn differently from others. They sometimes feel as if their mind is 'differently wired'. Dyslexic people find it particularly difficult to learn to read, write and/or spell, even though their abilities in other ways may be average or better. They usually also have an unusual pattern of strengths and weaknesses in other areas. There is no cure for dyslexia but with the right teaching and support, dyslexics can overcome their difficulties and achieve great things.

Thrilled to share that one of our brilliant dyslexic learners interviewed the esteemed Dr. Maggie Aderin-Pocock for CBBC's Newsround! 🌟

Dr. Aderin-Pocock's journey, from overcoming dyslexia to becoming a leading space scientist and a passionate advocate for STEM education, is nothing short of inspirational. Her work has illuminated the wonders of the cosmos for people of all ages, and her story is a powerful reminder that challenges can be transformed into strengths. 🚀

This was a fantastic opportunity for our learner to engage with a role model who exemplifies that with determination and support, the sky is not the limit, but the beginning. Let's encourage and celebrate the potential in every learner!

We sent Newsround viewer Fraser to meet Doctor Maggie Aderin-Pocock - one of the UK's leading space scientists.
