This is how we celebrate special days at our Pullen Day Centre in London.
Our clients are always at the heart of what we do, and we make sure their special moments are marked in ways that feel personal and full of life.
Irene loves music and singing, so on her 80th birthday we welcomed Maciek O’Shea from Opera Holland Park, who spent the afternoon leading a session that evolved into a shared experience of singing, movement and memory-triggering tunes.
Maciek’s work is part of the Music for Dementia initiative, designed for people living with dementia and memory loss, using music as a vehicle for connection and wellbeing. His visit underlined something we believe at CCH Group: no one is forgotten and no one is alone.
Maria Gerardo, Pullen Day Centre Manager, said: “We always want our clients to feel that their special days are genuinely celebrated. Irene loved the visit and was smiling from start to finish. It’s about creating experiences that bring people together and remind them they are valued and part of a community.”
Thank you to Maciek and Opera Holland Park for reminding us that when creative and thoughtful activities are brought into care, the results can be powerful.
