A happy retirement to our very own Tony the tiger. After 20 years with us and 60 years since he started his working life, this chapter is well earned. Thank you Tony, your warmth, laughter and friendship means the world to our team and we will miss you. Thanks to everyone who sent messages, gifts and came to his leaving presentation.

At the start of National Grief Week, we are reminded that grief touches every life, especially at this time of year. Our Memorial Christmas tree now stands in honour of those who are no longer with us. Please come along and dedicate one of our tags.

Today is the start of National Grief Awareness Week, an initiative set up and run by The Good Grief Trust to raise awareness of the impact of grief and loss on a national platform. A time to come together and support those who are grieving and to let them know they are not alone in their grief. The theme this year is ‘Growing with Grief.’

‘Losing a loved one feels like an ending in so many ways, but in time, it can also become the ground from which something new begins. 'Growing with Grief' highlights how we can work together to find ways to become stronger, healthier by laying down roots for the future. The campaign acknowledges that, after a loss, we can't go back to the person we once were, but can instead grow into someone new, shaped by love, memories and resilience. This growth doesn't erase the pain, but it does allow HOPE to return. We may even become more present, more compassionate, more aware of what truly matters in life.’

Join us in the wave of light tonight at 7.00pm as we remember the baby’s born sleeping, those that were carried but never held, those who were held but could not be taken home, those who came home but could not stay.

🧠💚 World Mental Health Day – You Matter

Today, we pause to recognise the importance of mental health, for ourselves, our colleagues, and our community.

Whether you're grieving, supporting others, or simply navigating life’s ups and downs, your feelings are valid. You are not alone.

At Bramcote, we believe in creating spaces of comfort, dignity, and understanding. If you need a quiet moment, a kind word, or someone to talk to, we’re here.

Let’s keep checking in on each other. Let’s keep making mental well-being a priority, not just today, but every day.

🦋 Baby Loss Awareness Week – Butterfly Dedications

This week in our Book of Remembrance Room, you are invited to dedicate a butterfly in honour of each delicate soul who has touched our hearts. Each butterfly is a symbol of love, remembrance, and the lives that will never be forgotten.

You’ll also find information and resources offering support to anyone affected by baby loss. Please know, you are not alone. Help and understanding are always available.

Baby Loss Awareness Week | 9th–15th October

This week, we pause to remember and honour all the precious little lives lost too soon.

Here at Bramcote, our team has dedicated 33 delicate butterflies—each one representing a tiny soul who touched our hearts and came to us this year.

Each butterfly is a symbol of love, remembrance, and the lasting impact every baby has had on their family and on all of us who have cared for them.

We stand in solidarity with all families affected by baby loss, holding space for your grief, your love, and your cherished memories.
