The Hay Diet has been around for a long time and is well known for improving the lifestyle of individuals who follow the food combining rules. Simply by keeping carbohydrate foods separate from protein foods in your daily diet, foods can be digested far more easily. Dr Hay was reported to say that 'medicine was on the wrong track' and that 'the cause of a problem should be treated through dietary lines'. Dr Hay suggested two weeks of correct food combining would be sufficient enough to convince anybody of the benefits of eating this way and if after such time you ceased complying with the food combining rules your body would clearly indicate you had made a mistake.
