I did not hang around with this repot. Most had roots so no need to wait for callousing / nubbing over the ends

As you can see, this beaut was totally root-bound. Most of the root ball actually got thrown away as even the mother plant had her own little system going on

The customer had requested just one pot back but we insisted they take 2 - the mother plant and the "hot tub with mates hanging out" as originally requested 🤣😎 (seriously, their words, not mine)

Gorgeous new plant added to the ever-growing collection

And as always, some are for sale, price in comments

'Before & after' of the biggest general house plant repot I have ever done for a customer 🥳🙌🏾

There was all sorts! About 15-20 plants

African Milk Plant (Euphorbia Trigona Cactus)
Snake plants x 3
Spider plant
Ginseng Bonsai
Jade Money Plants
A tree, I have no idea what it was!
Euphorbia Lactea Cristata x 3
Christmas Cactus (Shlumbergera)

What was really cool about this was I sold most of these plants to the lady 5-6 years ago

So of course, it was of charge! And nice to see how some of the babies had developed

(Although, had the lady not done a whole load of new with us, including the bespoke Mamé tray which was NOT cheap!) I would have charged something for my time, as it took hours & a fair amount of materials..)

I kept a couple cuttings & some off-shoots to cover my costs. Had I not told the customer, they wouldn't have even known!

They went from having 3 to 7 snake plants
1 to 4 euphorbia trigona
A refreshed Jade Bonsai
The tree looked new!
And..
All for free!

The moral of the story?
1) Buying plants is an investment
2) Old customers get LOOKED AFTER!! 🙏🏾💚💪🏾

If it's a free job (i.e. you bought the plant from me or I can get enough babies from it to cover costs), the quote will be £0. If not, it will be minimal. Much less than buying new plants, anyways 😉🫡

Rubentia Perplexa (Cactus)
Echeveria
Leopard Lily
Spider Plant

The layers of potting medium are (from top to bottom):

Volcanic Lava Rock
Cactus potting mix
10mm gravel
Volcanic Lava Rock
Sharp sand

Yesterday was a SERIOUSLY day..

I was gifted this hot gorgeous mess of Aloe Vera Plants by an old customer who is slowly clearing out to move

It was a very unique delivery because you rarely see AV plants like these.. they were very badly grown - but perfectly kept alive, somehow.. and the results are absolutely ! 🤯🙌🏾😍💚

Make sure you scroll to the last pic to see the end result as there is quite a difference! It took me a good hour or two to clean up these plants & grab or snip the 'babies' out of the motherpots. The last pic was taken around midnight 🫠🙈

I stripped every dead, crunchy leaf away, snipped or pulled the cuttings & tidied up the top of the soil in the pots

The result is 3 very unique Aloe Vera plants with beautiful long stalks 😍🥰

The stones are to weigh the pot down & stop it tipping over as these stalky Aloe Vera Plants can be quite awkward 😬

I left the cuttings to callous overnight & will be planting them today so pics & prices of those should be up by the weekend

I also recorded myself working on these plants so when Grandad figures out how to edit & post them, that will probably be helpful to anyone who is into Vera plants 🙏🏾💚💪🏾

Now THIS is my jam!

Mini Money with smaller than usual leaves 🥳🥳

It needed a good trim as it had some droopy branches but it came out looking even better - and you KNOW what I'm going to do with the cuttings 😉😉
