Together We Can - For Dementia Together We Can is a Fundraising and Awareness page for Dementia which affects millions of people of all ages world wide. Lots of fun!

We have Bear stories and Bears to adopt (Buy) they live with you and send us stories about their travels. In 2013 my lovely fit husband John was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s type disease. He was a professional footballer, later becoming a coach and Chartered Physiotherapist. He passed away in March 2020. Sadly the job he loved cost him his life. I was determined at the time of diagnosis to raise awareness. No one was talking about Dementia

With the help of a few very supportive friends we set about fund raising. To this day we have raised around £50.000

Speaker evenings, Cabaret nights. Auctions, Raffles, Donations. Teddy Bear adoption,
Cooking, and my sewing and crafting

I have met and spoken to many people going through the same thing with their loved ones. The care system is so underfunded, people are really struggling to get much needed help. Care homes are hugely expensive and in short supply. I want to make a difference. I feel that this is what our life is for. I believe that “together we can”

Thanks to my special friends that support me. The lovely Jeanette who makes lots of things for me. And now a few new friends have come forward to volunteer help in making clothes for my teddies. We donate all the money raised to Alzheimer’s Research Uk. We have also bought benches, plants and planters. sensory items and rummage boxes for Highbury Hospital for the benefit of the patients on Silver Birch ward. Please keep supporting us to make a difference

I am still fundraising and will be donating a further £400 to ARUK.
To my followers I am sorry my presence on here has not been very evident. I have had to take time out to concentrate on my own mental health.

It’s the last day of my May squat challenge. 3000 plus done. Thank you to those of you that donated, raising just shy of £300 for Alzheimer’s society.
I shall continue to do them, though not so many at one time.
My legs are feeling much stronger and it helps to know that it will make a difference to people living with Dementia. Together We Can - For Dementia 🐻🐻

Today will be my 13th day doing 100 squats for Alzheimer’s Society May 3000 squats.
