What's the difference between our Yin and Candlelight yoga classes?
Both are slow, grounding practices that invite you to reconnect with yourself, but they offer subtly different experiences.
🧘♀️ Yin Yoga is all about finding stillness and working gently into the deeper layers of the body, especially the fascia and connective tissues. Poses are held for several minutes, encouraging a slow, passive release and a deeper stretch that gently challenges both body and mind. It’s a quiet intensity, not in movement, but in the stillness and depth.
🕯️ Candlelight Yoga, on the other hand, is more restorative in nature. Here, it’s all about comfort and letting go. We use props to support the body, helping to find relaxation in each pose. The room is warm and bathed in the soft glow of real candlelight, creating an atmosphere that’s calming from the inside out. This is the practice for when your nervous system needs soothing and your body needs rest, not stretch.
Both offer a slower pace, gentle energy and time to breathe, but the intention behind each is slightly different.
Why not experience the difference for yourself? Join us for a yin or candlelight class, both available weekly on our timetable.
