A song for Helen ❤️ Please share the love.

David stopped by our office today, excited to share a song he wrote for his wife, Helen.

Written and performed by David, the song is a heartfelt tribute in memory of Helen, who lived with dementia and regularly attended Trent Bridge Community Trust Forget Me Notts sessions, along with many other community events.

He wanted to share it with you all — it’s such a beautiful and touching tribute.

Radford Care Group run free 7 week information sessions for family carers. For the past 4 years Right at Home Nottingham provide the respite, in disguise as a friendship group where we have lots of fun !!

Living with dementia to inspire others ❤️

Musician Beverly Glenn-Copeland continues to create music and tour after his Dementia diagnosis — not by forcing things to stay the same, but by adapting, improvising, and staying playful.

“We want to challenge the mainstream image of this illness, which focuses on loss,” he added. “We are actively asking the universe to show us where is the life here.”

We are delighted to share that Right at Home Nottingham will be attending the Dementia & Carers Roadshow at Rushcliffe Arena.

🗓 Thursday 23rd April 2026
⏰ 10am – 1pm
📍 Rushcliffe Arena, West Bridgford, NG2 7HY (fully accessible venue, loads of parking)

This fantastic free event is a wonderful opportunity for families and people living with dementia to discover the wide range of local suitable support available.

Our friendly team will be on hand to:
✔️ Offer information about our specialist dementia support services and groups.
✔️ Answer your questions about dementia support at home.
✔️ Provide guidance and reassurance for families navigating a dementia diagnosis.

It’s a great chance to connect with community organisations, access practical advice, and feel supported.

We look forward to seeing you there and working together to create a more dementia-friendly community.
