How to teach people not to trust their feelings?

Tell them that there are good and bad feelings
Tell them not to express certain feelings
Tell them that some feelings are acceptable for males and others for females
Tell them that people won’t like you if you express a certain feeling
Set up emotional traps – such as ‘Don’t upset anyone’
Tell them that they are are being 'over' sensitive.
Tell them to avoid, suppress and suck up uncomfortable emotions.
Tell them to get clever at morphing uncomfortable feelings
Tell them, 'it's only banter!'
Tell them that feelings are irrational and illogical.
Tell them to be happy
Tell them to be kind
Tell them to smile
Tell them to trust their gut – but it’s probably not wise to act on it.
Tell them that feelings are scary
Tell them that, what they are feeling is wrong

To be emotionally fit means to be able to feel and express the whole spectrum of feelings as soon as possible to the event and in the most healthy way.

Do yourself a favour and get this book fellas"

📘 Writing the 'Secret lives of Men' took me at least 7 years. It involved much anguish, hard work and internal battles.

📘Getting it to the printers included some difficult moments, being let down by people I trusted and relied on and actually losing friends during the process. It was an exercise in some deep learning.

📘Writing a book is an often a lonely exercise but getting it to the printers was a team exercise. I could not have done it without the brilliant editor Kirsten Rees - Book Editor 📖🖌, a copy writer and cover designer Adam Renvoize.

📣I am thankful for everyone who have bought a copy of the book and for those who have reviewed it. I know that my book has helped many people and the latest review makes me feel really proud and that all the hard work has really paid off.

If you have yet to read it – grab yourself a copy. If you don’t want to buy from Amazon I have a few hard copies I would be happy to send you if you live in the UK.

👉'So I started seeing a therapist because of issues in my childhood.
My therapist has worked wonders with me, basically turned my life around.
I was advised by my therapist to buy this book as it was a great introduction to understanding how men function, think, behave etc.
I have never felt so enlightened, educated and informed as this book has made me feel.
I have the paperback and the audio book as I find listening to the book very easy but also I use the paperback as a reference book. I mark pages, chapters and sentences that either apply to me or that I need to explore further.
There are so many things in this book that will make you rethink how you live, feel and conduct your self.
I was a non believer in this kind of stuff, I’m not now, it has honestly transformed my way of thinking and the way I live my life.
Do yourself a favour and get this book fellas.'

Lost Boys and Fairies - One of the best TV series I have ever watched.

I was either crying or trying toe hold back the tears most of the way through. It portrays positive masculinity, love, care and intimacy along with so much more.

Just three episodes.

Lost Boys and Fairies has been a huge hit with views - find out more
