The Woodland Burial Company are proud of our approach to the difficult subject that is the death of a loved one. We believe that we should all try and leave the world a better place than when we arrived in it. Through the provision of our woodland interment plots for cremated remains and full cadaver committals, we give the opportunity to leave a legacy that will benefit our native woodlands and wildlife for generations to come, whilst also providing a tranquil and peaceful setting for the memories and mourning of those left in the present. From our own experiences of bereavement, we have created what we felt we needed at that time, delivered in a way we would of appreciated. The company follows the ecological ethics and teachings of Granville Graham.

Granville’s Wood was a commercial pine plantation, to grow telegraph poles. By restoring the area from a mono-culture to a thriving balanced woodland we support both people and planet.

Your annual reminder to please not leave any pumpkins on the ground at home (or in the woods) as they are very harmful to hedgehogs.

Hedgehogs numbers are in decline and all efforts we can make to support them are essential. Did you know hedgehogs can climb quite high? If possible move your pumpkins to a suitable height or reuse, recycle them as soon as possible.

October is The Big Draw month and we are getting involved by asking you to draw something from nature (maybe something from a woodland?). Using Granville's Wood as inspiration, or your own garden or local park, create a drawing or piece of art and either send us the original or a photo of your work.

Our price list for 2025 remained the same as 2024. We work hard to keep prices affordable and do not automatically increase them year on year.

In 2026 we are hoping to keep the same prices again, currently working on our new brochure for January.

An ash interment at Granville's Wood is treated with the same respect and reverence as a full burial. You can chose a nook that already contains a tree or other special something, or you can add a tree planting to the ceremony.

Legacy items are also available for ash nooks, including space for a bench.
