What a wonderful afternoon! Thirty residents & family and thirty very talented volunteers from the Vale Voices Choir came together and had an absolutely fantastic time. Residents joined in with many of the songs, and we all enjoyed sherry, Baileys, mince pies, and lemonade.

A huge thank you to the members of the Vale Voices Choir for giving up your free time for us. We feel very blessed to have you as part of our wonderful community. Truly amazing 🙌🙌

Raffle winners...gwyneth, John, Ben, Helen office, kerry p, nicky, nicky daughter, Mr Smith, Jackie sinclair and Lorraine! Well done to all, please collect prizes ASAP.
There were 586 marshmallows in the jar if any one was wondering, they went to the winner along with other chocs and sweets and Harmony was the winning name of the gorgeous Teddy.
We managed to raise over £600!!! Just wow! 👏🙌❤️ your generosity was overwhelming, from everyone that donated bits for tombola, raffle, gave your time up to help, to buying raffle tickets or trying to win a bottle of wine, we appreciate you all and thank you greatly, and most importantly hope you had a nice afternoon.

This morning we enjoyed a wonderfully creative session making rag baubles for the Christmas tree. Using simple materials — polystyrene balls, small pieces of fabric, and a clay tool to tuck the fabric into place — residents produced beautifully unique decorations. Every bauble reflected its maker’s personality, and the results were truly stunning.

Beyond the festive fun, the activity offered several valuable benefits. The hands-on process encouraged fine motor skills and gentle coordination, while choosing fabrics and patterns stimulated creativity and self-expression. Working together in a relaxed environment also promoted social interaction, conversation, and a sense of shared achievement. Most importantly, residents were able to take pride in creating something special to brighten our Christmas tree and the season ahead.

Two of our residents enjoyed decorating the last of the Christmas trees yesterday morning. They are absolutely gorgeous, really full, and sourced from a local business in East Bridgford. Please contact Harvey if you’re looking for stunning trees like these at amazing value.
We even managed to find a couple of crackers in our decoration box, all while listening to Christmas music and getting into the festive spirit.

The Christmas films have started 🎄☃️🎅... 16 residents voted to watch the original,miracle on 34th St this afternoon. A very enjoyable relaxed social event, where a lovely box of biscuits got passed around (several times🤫) along with drinks.

What an amazing raffle we have this Christmas, this is just a small selection of the prizes, tickets available at our Christmas fair on Sunday, 2-4pm, all welcome, please help us to spread the word...also water or wine, home made cakes, tombola, and some really great local craft stalls coming in for an opertunity to start the Christmas shopping.

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing mindful colouring group activity together, and the finished piece turned out beautifully. This activity not only encouraged creativity and self-expression, but also supported calmness, focus, and social connection — making it a wonderful way to promote wellbeing in our community. A real team effort ❤️🙌♥️

Huge thanks to versatility duo for another wonderful performance. Our residents sang and danced the afternoon away, while enjoying a drink or two, for a birthday celebration. 🎉🎉🎉
