The residents had an absolutely delightful VE Day celebration yesterday, marking an incredible 80 years since the occasion! The festivities were filled with engaging quizzes and creative crafts, creating a joyful atmosphere. To top it all off, Trevor whipped up a delicious dinner inspired by a traditional recipe, and we savored a scrumptious Victoria sponge that left everyone smiling. It was a day to remember! Earlier this week, it was resident Catherine's turn to have some quality time out. We all headed into Bulwell for a look around the shops before going to KFC (her favourite 😋) for something to eat. On the way home she had a haircut at the local barbers before finally stopping at the "Bogs" to take a few final pictures (They put me in the stocks! 😂) before heading home 🤓👊 A big thanks to Taylor for helping us today too! ❤️ Take a look 👀

It was our morning for a visit from the Church yesterday for a "mobile service" Residents and Staff alike all enjoyed listening and joining in with prayers and Hymns before taking Holy communion if they wanted to 🙂 It was a lovely atmosphere whether religious or not and we're all looking forward to the next time the Church visits us 🤓👍❤️

It was of course "Pancake Day" the other day, so the residents all enjoyed putting there favourite toppings on to pancakes 🥞 Inc Oranges lemons and sugar 😋 they really enjoyed eating them and few even had seconds and thirds! 😁👊 I think they must have needed the energy as earlier most of them had been doing "Chair Exercises" with Karen and burnt themselves out! 💃 🤓👍

Last Friday was, of course, Valentine's Day, and here at Park House, we celebrated in style with a fantastic performance by Lily Lovejoy. She had the residents up and dancing to a variety of songs from different artists, which was lovely to see! ❤️ Here are a few videos from the show. Enjoy! 💃🎤😁

We were blessed by a visit from the Church that brought a heartwarming in-house service to our residents. Everyone listened with great attention to the vicar's inspiring words and joined in joyful hymns. The moment residents received Holy Communion was truly uplifting. ❤️ Enjoy the pictures below! 🤓👍

Last week, we were inspired by Margo Peters, the Pocket Rocket! 😁 Her amazing performance uplifted both the residents and staff, creating a joyful atmosphere for all! We took a few residents to embrace the beauty of a sunny winter morning with a refreshing outing in the minibus to Wollaton Park. It was an ideal day for a walk down to the lake to connect with the wildlife, followed by the warmth of hot drinks in the café. The girls had an incredible experience and are eager for their next adventure!
