It feels like life is getting back on track ….
Some wonderful moments today.
Little Rupert had his first day as copilot. He is not a massive fan of the car, so we were serenaded through the countryside by Classic FM! It was so lovely to see him grow with confidence through the day.

Back on Gossip again was a real plus, it seems like it has been a long summer. Even more wonderful to see him back as the Gossip we know & love, aka “The Cuddle Monster”
Thank you Bruce Thorpeley for doing your magic.
It was also a huge privilege to see the masters at their work at Thorpeley Irish Draught and Rare Breed Stud. The majesty of Jenson, a Suffolk Punch stallion, huge & powerful in stature so gentle at his job.
Then it was off to get put straight again by Mark at Rushden Chiropractic Clinic. Despite the knee being absolutely fabulous, the body is still having a tantrum at the existence of the 3 long screws holding it all in place. However, as Mark said not long now, only another month or so. I must be patient a little longer!

Then down into the rolling countryside of Cambridgeshire. The farmers were busy in the fields, tractors discing & seeding, cars, seed and fertiliser sacs littering the entrances. The hedgerows burning in colours more reminiscent of the fireside, oranges, reds and yellows against the brownness of the fields. The sun was still warm reminding one of the summer past, and the sky huge in relation to the landscape. Here is so much tamer than the Big Sky country of the Fens but the small rolling hillocks always make me want to pause and take it all in.
Today I was reminded of just how far I had come. As this is the land that I had just moved to when my rehabilitation journey was just starting in 1997. The time of my first knee operation.
It has been quite a journey physically, mentally and emotionally. One that hasn’t ended yet, there is still more growth to be done.
The desire that took me to take those first tentative steps, to learn what I have learnt, still burns within me but in a different way, to help others, like me, refund the joy of living.
With age one doesn’t grow older, hopefully just wiser.
Sorry no pictures.
