Housing Support

Lets talk Damp and Mould! Are you worried about damp or mould at home?
Damp and mould can affect your breathing, sleep, asthma, skin and overall wellbeing.

If you are renting (private or social housing):
- Report the issue to your landlord or housing association as soon as possible
- Ask for damp survey, mould wash or repairs

If you are a homeowner:
- check for common causes like condensation, blocked gutters, ventilation issues, faulty roofing or plumbing leaks
- Local contractors can do damp surveys if needed
- Home owners may be eligible for:
Energy effciency grants - check eligiblity (insulation, heating upgrades)
Warm Home discount
ECO4/government funded home improvements (depending on income or health needs)
- If your health is being affected, see your GP.

Energy and warmth support:
- Warm home discount
- Priority services register (for vulnerable people)
- Local insulation and heating grants
- Help to reduce condensation and improve ventilation

Better Housing, Better Health - provides free and confidential service to help keep people warm, well at home and help improve the energy efficiency. This includes support in switching energy suppliers, maximising income, signing up to the priority services register and accessing funding to help support people.

Did you know that Age UK Notts have a social walking group that ends at Stonebridge City Farm & Gardens? πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
They meet every Thursday outside Victoria Leisure Centre and take a stroll around Sneinton, ending at Stonebridge πŸ‘πŸŒ³

These walking groups are an excellent way to get out the house, meet new people and reconnect with nature ☺️

Stonebridge staff strive to make sure that the farm is accessible to everyone and it's also a great place to stop and have a cuppa at the end of your walk!
