๐ŸŒฟ 1 day to go until National Social Prescribing Day โ€“ 26th March! ๐ŸŒฟ

Social prescribing helps people access the right support in their community to improve their wellbeing. This could include:
๐Ÿ’š Support for mental health and emotional wellbeing
๐Ÿก Help with housing or financial worries
๐Ÿค Reducing loneliness and isolation
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Support for carers and families
๐Ÿƒ Activities to improve physical health and confidence

Through social prescribing, people are connected to local groups, services and activities that can make a real difference to their lives because sometimes the best support doesnโ€™t come from a prescription, but from people, connection and community.

If you would like support looking or accessing community groups, wellbeing sessions and local support services focusing on:
โœ”๏ธ Mental health & wellbeing
โœ”๏ธ Cost of living & financial advice
โœ”๏ธ Housing support
โœ”๏ธ Carer support
โœ”๏ธ Tackling loneliness

Then please get in touch at reception at your GP surgery, you can self-refer into our Social Prescribing Service.

Social Prescribing Day is all about celebrating the amazing community support around us and the people who help connect others to it.

If you or someone you know could benefit from extra support, reach out, youโ€™re not alone ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒผ Social Prescribing Day โ€“ 26th March 2026 ๐ŸŒผ

Social Prescribing Day, a day dedicated to recognising the incredible impact of community support on peopleโ€™s health and wellbeing.

Health is about so much more than medicine. Sometimes what people really need is connection, support, and practical help with everyday life. Social prescribing links people with services and activities in their community that can improve their wellbeing, whether thatโ€™s help at home, joining a local group, getting support with daily tasks, or simply having someone who cares.

For many people who feel isolated, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn, social prescribing can open the door to:
๐Ÿ’š Community connection
๐Ÿ’š Practical support
๐Ÿ’š Improved mental wellbeing
๐Ÿ’š A stronger sense of belonging

Social Prescribing day is also a chance to recognise the amazing work of link workers, community organisations, volunteers, and support services who help people feel seen, heard, and supported every single day.

Letโ€™s continue building communities where nobody has to struggle alone.

If you have had a positive experience with Social Prescribers, weather that be professionals, patients, community volunteers - we would love to hear your experience! โญ๏ธ
