Today is 11th December, known globally (apparently) as International Mountain Day.
Which is hilarious, because my morning felt like climbing a mountain in slippers while holding a box of baubles and a half-eaten mince pie.

Meanwhile, our carers are out supporting the community like the main characters in every feel-good Christmas film ever made.

Honestly? Icon behaviour.

Annual Leave Countdown:
53 hours remaining.
(I am clinging to that number like it’s the star on top of the tree.)

Happy Hump Day — we’ve made it to the halfway point of the week.
Somehow. Just about.

The weather is feeling a little milder today which begs the question…
is the sun finally preparing to make a guest appearance,
or is it just teasing us again?

Countdown to annual leave: 53 hours remaining.
(At this point, the countdown is all that sustains me.)

Let’s hope the weather behaves, the coffee stays strong,
and the sun decides to bless us at least once before the weekend arrives.

Our first Secret Santa gift has arrived under the tree, and honestly?
It’s giving main-character energy it’s practically glowing with festive smugness.

Nothing tests your willpower quite like pretending you don’t want to shake a present.

Outside, however, is less festive.
More “weather villain on a relentless campaign
to ruin everyone’s hair, shoes and general will to live."

77 hours remaining.
(The tension is unbearable. I am definitely still counting.)
