'I would like to thank my wonderful team for their lovely words about me, you’ve truly made me feel so humbled and proud. I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such a kind, dedicated group of people, and to work within such a lovely family business that truly cares.

Thirty years is a huge milestone for me, and I feel so privileged to have been able to serve so many families over the years. It is a great honour to be allowed to work within this profession, and I honestly couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Service – Julia Carty 🎉

Today we’re celebrating an incredible achievement, 30 years of dedicated service from our General Manager, Julia Carty.

Julia began her career with us, as part of Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Care in 1995, which became part of A. W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service in 2003. When M.A. Mills expanded in 2025, Julia stepped away from her long-held position as Principal Funeral Director at A.W. Lymn to take on the role of General Manager at M.A. Mills.

Her wealth of experience, compassion and leadership continue to guide and inspire her team.
