Hello I just thought I would tell you a bit about myself for all you new followers and people who are wondering who is this woman……
I’m Kerrie
Before finding my true calling I spent many years in the fast paced world of promotional work running a promotional and model agency, moving from one unfulfilling job to another always feeling that something wasn’t quite right and being unfulfilled that something was missing.
My journey into healing began unexpectedly in 1995 when a neighbour invited me to join her for a Reiki training.
What started as a simple “why not?” quickly became a defining moment.
I completed my Reiki I attunement and found myself fascinated by the subtle, transformative power of energy work.
Not long after I continued on to Reiki II deepening my understanding of energetic healing and intuition.
Then one day everything changed. During one of my events I noticed a team offering corporate massage, and I remember thinking, “That looks amazing.” I was completely captivated. The calm and peace and the connection it all resonated so deeply. I began researching and before long I knew this was the path I was meant to follow.
My journey continued at The Central College in Nottingham where I began studying anatomy and physiology. Soon after I completed my ITEC qualification in Massage Therapy one of the most respected credentials in the field. I was blessed with an inspiring teacher and from the very first moment I placed my hands on someone’s body, something clicked an intuitive understanding of what they needed. It felt natural, effortless… as if I had finally found what was so right and natural for me
From that moment my passion for holistic healing only grew.
Over the years, I’ve continued to expand my knowledge through a variety of courses and trainings including:
Holistic Therapies
* Reiki
* Swedish Massage
* Hot Stones Massage
* CBD oil Massage
* No Hands Massage
* Facials
* Hopi Ear Candles
* Diet and Nutrition
Yoga and Meditation
* Hatha Yoga
* Yin Yoga
* Restorative Yoga
* Inner Dance Meditation
* Yoga Nidra
In 1999 I expanded my path by training in Inner Dance Meditation a deep meditation set to music led practice designed to unlock held emotions and reconnect with ourselves. It was a revelation. In a life where so many of us are constantly “holding it together,” juggling careers, families and everyday pressures Inner Dance offered a powerful space to simply release, feel and be.
My journey continued in Thailand where I completed my Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. From there I pursued further training in the UK in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra followed by additional Hatha and Yin Yoga certifications during lockdown under the guidance of Sara Lo and in 2026 I will be furthering my training in India!
Today I am deeply passionate about teaching yoga, meditation and offering healing therapies.
My classes are designed to support profound restoration physically, emotionally and energetically. I believe in an integrated approach to wellbeing and I love guiding clients towards balanced, holistic healing and an empowered connection to themselves.
* Yoga Nidra holds a special place in my heart. It’s an incredibly powerful practice for releasing stress and tension, easing anxiety and depression and supporting deep restorative sleep.
Not every path I explored felt right for me but each experience brought me closer to the work I truly love creating calm, connection and healing for others. Every course I’ve taken has woven together beautifully giving me a rich understanding of holistic health and wellbeing over the last 20 years.
Today I feel deeply grateful to share this passion through my therapies, yoga and meditation classes and to meet so many wonderful people along the way.
All therapies and classes are also available for corporate events bringing peace, relaxation and balance to the workplace.
I began practicing massage over 20 years ago at the Little London Herbal Store renting a small room while my son was just six months old. It was a quiet beginning a simple space filled with care and intention and it was there that I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my career.
Many people came to me seeking relief from pain or illness yet as I listened I realised what they truly needed was time… and someone who would really listen. That understanding became the heart of my practice and it still is with everything I do today.
In time life brought me back to my hometown of Beeston where I began renting a room at Caritas and gradually grew a loyal client base.
Before long I opened my first therapy room on Bramcote Avenue and as my work blossomed I expanded into The Creative Corner at the bottom of Cator Lane.
Those years were very busy balancing the running of a therapy centre, supporting other practitioners, offering treatments and raising two young children.
My business continued to grow and eventually I moved into my dream location just across the road a calm, spacious sanctuary with multiple therapy rooms and studio and room to expand.
Then came change. With the arrival of COVID and shifts in my personal life I made the difficult decision to let that space go. Yet every ending brings new beginnings.
Today Tranquility is lovingly run from my cosy home sanctuary in Long Eaton. A cosy space that is peaceful, warm and inviting where you can truly unwind, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself with therapies, yoga and Meditation classes.
I now also share my love of yoga, mediation and mindfulness through Yoga, Mantra and Meditation classes in Long Eaton and Beeston helping others find calm, clarity and balance in their everyday lives.
My journey has been filled with change, challenge and growth but through it all one thing has remained constant my passion for healing, listening and helping others feel seen, supported and at peace.
Looking forward to helping you heal and support you with your wellness journey soon
