Just a Bit of Botox

One eye, one lesson. Would not recommend the learning curve. It was the end of September 2024, two months before my 48th birthday. After a long summer, the weather was starting to turn and I was feeling like I needed a little pick-me-up. In my previous blog I discussed some of complications of perimenopause one being my ‘desert vagina’. But what I didn’t discuss was just how bladder problems in perimenopause have impacted me and the women I speak to. As if mood swings, sleep issues and hot flushes were not enough. The decline in oestrogen also effects vaginal elasticity causing muscle irritation. Let’s not forget the less researched decline in progesterone which also effects bladder health....
