The January Murphy Award recognises someone whose impact is felt consistently — in training rooms, on the road, and in the moments that matter most.
This month’s award goes to David Eversfield, Paramedic, for the commitment, integrity, and leadership he brings to Team CMS every single day.
‘’Dave consistently goes above and beyond for every staff member he works with. His commitment to training isn’t limited to clinical skills. He places importance on developing professional and patient-facing abilities, ensuring that everyone he mentors is well-rounded and confident in all aspects of their role.
Over the years, Dave has been an exceptional mentor, guiding colleagues with patience, knowledge, and a genuine desire to see others succeed. He doesn’t wait for people to come to him — he actively travels across the country to provide hands-on training and support, making sure no one is left behind.
Despite the immense value he brings, Dave rarely receives the recognition he truly deserves. He remains humble and focused, even in high-pressure situations. I recently spoke with him after he attended a paediatric arrest. He maintained composure on scene, followed protocol precisely, and created a calm, structured environment at a time of intense stress. It’s a clear reflection of his clinical excellence and leadership under pressure.
Dave’s knowledge, dedication, and integrity are second to none. He is a cornerstone of Team CMS and should be recognised at a far higher level for the impact he makes every single day.’’
Hugely deserved - Congratulations, Dave. And thank you for everything you do 💚
