Imagine Arts Therapy

Imagine Arts Therapy Art Therapist in Private Practice. I specialise in trauma therapy, personal development and art for I have experience working in education and with autism.

I am a Nottingham based art psychotherapist with a passion for the use of the creative arts for health and well-being. Art can transform lives and art therapy can help the journey towards improved mental health and quality of life. Art therapy offers an alternative means of communication to talking therapies and counselling. Words can sometimes be hard to find, particularly when there has been trauma, and clients often say how much easier it is to access their feelings and communicate when they have made an image in the safety of the art therapy space supported by their art therapist. Personal experience is, of course, unique to each individual and, whatever your own story, art therapy can make an extremely helpful, safe and vibrant contribution to feeling well and understanding yourself better. It is a comfortable yet powerful therapeutic intervention which can help well-being, self awareness and positive change. My private practice is in the Nottingham Imagine Arts Therapy studio. Sessional art therapy, for individuals or groups, is usually on-site within organisations. My art therapy is mainly trauma -focused and includes complex trauma, dissociation, abuse, attachment and post adoption. Training, personal and professional development workshops by request. Commissions undertaken.

and other childless not by choice issues.
Alongside another art therapist, I am researching the creation on a series of online therapeutic workshops to help anyone affected by these issues to explore and heal through creativity - something we both also have personal experience with.
