So important that the little ones get access to physiotherapy when they will get the most benefit from it.

Katie, from Loughborough, was inspired by a family member's cerebral palsy diagnosis.

The 27-year-old was named a Women in Innovation Winner 2025 for her work on the product, which uses animal characters, colourful lights and dozens of mini games to develop movement.

This is so true. If anyone would like support for their child or a child in your school to access PE or sport, do get in touch.

A new report from Youth Sport Trust has highlighted that children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are a group facing the greatest barriers to being active.

The comprehensive annual analysis of the state of PE, school sport and physical activity across the UK shone a light on some of the inequalities faced by disabled children.

They were more likely to report aspects that they do not like about their PE lessons in school. For example they were more likely than their non-disabled peers to worry that they will let the team down, worry about getting hurt and feel self-conscious about their body.

Disabled children were also more likely to report that they were not able to play sports as often as other people their own age, than non-disabled children.

Wheelchair basketball is such a great sport! If any wheelchair users need physio support to reach their sporting goals then let me know!

Thanks to the lovely people at Sport England HQ, our club has secured funding to run an additional beginners wheelchair basketball session beginning in May!

If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in attending these sessions, please reach out to get your place booked on.

Disabled and non-disabled people welcome!
