🌱IMBOLC BLESSINGS🌱

Imbolc traditionally marks the half way way point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It is traditionally a festival of fire which honours Brigid, the pagan Goddess. She represents healing, fertility, smithcraft, poetry and fire; of the Sun & the hearth.

It is a time of hope and new beginnings, as lambing season begins and the earth awakens with the first stirrings of Spring flowers, such as Snowdrops & Daffodils.

Imbolc is a perfect time to spring clean. Your house, your garden and even your body & mind. Let go of old thought patterns, limiting beliefs and anything that holds you back from stepping forward into your wonderful future.

Whilst Imbolc is a great time to set intentions or make wishes, it is also the time that you may to see your New Year intentions really taking form or even coming to fruition.

A lovely ritual for Imbolc is to plant seeds, with the intention of each seed representing your hopes & dreams.

You can also use essential oils to help cleanse your space & mind.
Oils such as Juniper, Lemon and Bergamot all have wonderfully cleansing qualities.

If you have an altar you can decorate it with items and colours symbolic to Imbolc; Swan feathers, crystals such Sunstone & Citrine, Candles (to represent fire & Brigid) and Brigids Cross. The colours green, blue, white & silver represent the burst of life Spring brings, water and purity.

Whatever you decide to do to embrace Imbolc, do it with love, light & gratitude in your heart.

I’m Lou…a holistic therapist, intuitive soul, and lover of music, crystals and essential oils.
I own Patchouli Holistics and have two beautiful treatment spaces.
I believe in gentle guidance, grounded insight, and listening to what’s felt as much as what’s said.
