Finally home again after a few weeks in hospital with neutropenic sepsis and pneumonia. As my platelets have been so low I’ve had a bleed in my eye leaving me with a blurry spot in my vision. The ophthalmologist is monitoring my vision and this should improve over the next 6 weeks. Waiting for my levels to all come up now so that I can have my final intrathecal chemotherapy for this phase and then start the next phase of treatment.

Really appreciate the support and equipment provided by MATTDOTCOM . The laptop will enable me to continue to work through treatment when I am feeling fit to. Many thanks to Sharon and David who have made this possible.

It’s been a tough few weeks! As I have reached the end of this phase of treatment I’ve felt really poorly this is because I am currently Neutropenic this means that all of my levels have dropped dramatically. I have zero white blood cells and no neutrophils which has allowed me to catch a few infections making me feel really ill.
To help me to overcome the infections I have had blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, IV antibiotics and white blood cell stimulating injections but my levels are still not improving. My temperature has spiked to 41 degrees. I have my line removed as it was the primary concern for infection. They’re still trying to control my temperature. Hopefully I will see some changes over the next few days.

Yesterday I started phase 2 of my treatment. I had my pic line put in so now I don’t have to be prodded and poked with needles every time I have treatment. Now I have treatment Monday - Thursday for 5 weeks and then I’ll move onto the next phase. Iv started feeling a lot more tired I’m sleeping a lot more and having a few more rough days but I’m staying positive and I’m happy with the progress I’m making in the treatment. thank you all for ur support and messages they make everyday that little bit easier ♥️
