Despite the rainy weather, the Valentine’s Coffee Morning at Braunston Village Hall was a wonderful success, raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The hall was full of laughter, lively conversation, plenty of hot drinks and a tempting selection of homemade cakes – a lovely community morning for a very important cause.

We were especially inspired by Megan, who grew up in the village and now works on a dementia ward in York. Following her dad’s recent diagnosis of early-onset dementia, she has chosen to run the London Marathon this April to raise money and awareness.
