We’re at Uppingham Town Cricket Club this morning at a fabulous welcoming open day with our friends at the Rainbow Care Group. They provide specialist day care out of the home for clients with dementia. We’re all ready with music, refreshments, and much more and looking forward to welcoming everyone to drop in, ask questions and find out more about all the great support available to carers.

Now that the nights are drawing in we are more aware of the effects of loneliness.

Loneliness in the elderly can lead to severe physical and mental health effects,It can also worsen existing conditions, lead to poor sleep, increase the risk of falls, and decrease overall quality of life.

One of our services is a well-being visit. We pop in just to check all is well, have a chat and help with anything that’s needed.
