Time to Talk Day 2026 💬

Connection starts with a conversation.
A simple “How are you, really?” can open a door and sometimes, it can change a life.

Today is a reminder that talking about mental health doesn’t have to be perfect or planned. It just needs to be human. By checking in with one another, listening without judgement, and making space for honest conversations, we help break down stigma around mental health and su***de.

You don’t need all the answers.
You don’t need the right words.
You just need to show up.

So today and every day take a moment to reach out. Call a friend. Message a colleague. Sit with someone and listen. Let’s keep reminding each other that no one has to face things alone. 💛

If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, support can be found at:

An Introduction to Pepper’s - A Safe Place

Pepper’s A Safe Place is Support group based in Oakham. It was set up to offer volunteering opportunities to people in Rutland with severe and enduring mental health conditions. It is currently a place where people can meet in a safe, informal and welcoming environment whilst enjoying a cup of coffee or a bowl of soup. As our volunteers grow in confidence they will be invited to expand and run the centre. Having a go at being part of the centre will enable people to build work skills and self-esteem, to develop a role, structure and routine and, above all, to feel a sense of belonging and achievement. The aim is that Pepper’s is used as a stepping stone for a more formal work arrangement and a move towards greater independence. Our website has more information https://www.peppersrutland.co.uk/
