We have spent the last year rebuilding this beautiful Hamlet of Greenland to a very high standard. Fern Cottage is a remarkably spacious cottage with air source heating, a new log burner, new kitchen & bathroom. Completely refurbished & redecorated.

This is a fabulous home from home to come & unwind in Red Deer country.
The main Cottage sleeps up to 5 with 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom & 1 double sofa bed, in the sitting room.
The warm bathroom has a full length bath to soak in, with a shower, w.c & basin. Fresh clean towels & soap are provided.

The large fully equipped kitchen with a fridge freezer, four ring hob & full sized oven, has everything required to create a delicious meal or picnic.
Fresh herbs can be picked from the garden.
This single storey cottage is extremely spacious & away from the hustle of busy lives, the rolling hills of Exmoor are on view from every room! A perfect place to relax & recharge.
The sitting room is a light spacious space to enjoy time together, with plenty of games to play or just gather round to watch TV. After an exciting day out it’s a lovely treat to sit by the log burner with a cup of hot chocolate!

A private sunny south facing garden with a conservatory overlooking rolling Exmoor, a perfect place to chill out in peaceful countryside.
Enjoy starlit nights by the fire-pit listening to owl’s chatting away!
Walks straight out of the door with the nearest house about 1/2 a mile away. A walker’s paradise!

From the Secret garden the coast with the twinkling lights across the channel in Wales give a breathtaking view. The coast with unspoiled beaches is only 5 miles away.
This truly is an idyllic tranquil place to stay with so much to see & experience.

Just a short walk away is Croydon Hall hotel with a spa, whirlpool bath, steam sauna, infra red sauna & steam room. They are offering our guests a special pampering deal for use of their spa facilities for just £25 per group.

£145 per night minimum of 2 stay or special weekly deal £ £913. 10% saving.
That’s only £36.25 per person based on 4 sharing for a short break!

This is an amazingly peaceful place to experience, set in the rolling hills of Exmoor offering stunning views & walks all around!
This cottage is extremely spacious & away from the hustle of busy lives, the rolling hills of Exmoor are in view from every room! A perfect place to relax & recharge!
We have lovingly restored this beautiful cottage within our Hamlet, to offer a luxuriously comfortable stay for you to enjoy.

This is a fabulous place to come & unwind.

Don't fancy cooking? Then book a delicious vegetarian meal to enjoy a night off as even the washing up will be taken care of! Just bring your own wine!
Fresh herbs can be picked from the garden & strawberries when in season!

Included are all utensils, oil, dried herbs, milk, jam, marmite, bread, organic fresh eggs, fruit juice, tea, coffee, sugar, ground coffee, washing up liquid, flask, picnic plates & bowls towels, and a dish cloth.

The sitting room is a beautiful light very spacious room to enjoy time together, with plenty of games to play, even table snooker & table tennis or just gather around to watch tv.
The room is large enough for many different activities to be taking place all at the same time!
The log burner is a lovely treat after an exciting day out to sit by with a cup of hot chocolate!

We have now said goodbye to our lovely Retreat Centre in Wiltshire & are busy creating a new one in Somerset!
We’ve headed west, near the coast in the beautiful Exmoor National Park.
We have a stunning location in rolling Exmoor, with amazing country walks out of the door and the unspoiled Jurassic coastline only 10 minutes away!
This has been 2 years in the making & third time lucky with finding the perfect location & property to transform.

We have a beautiful massive 2 bedroom cottage fully refurbished with wooden flooring, under floor heating, fully fitted large kitchen & 2 self contained apartments, one that can accommodate small groups. All have lovely sun trap gardens to enjoy with fire pits for those magical star lit nights!

We are totally secluded without any neighbours so a completely peaceful break with stunning views & walks straight out of the door awaits!
The unspoilt coast line is only 10 minutes away & historical Dunster, with its castle & gardens can be reached from a 45 minute walk through the deer park.
A most exciting but restful Retreat Centre awaits you!

Here at The Martinsell Centre we have come to the end of the chapter & finished the book! We enjoyed hosting our final retreat.
What a cracking group to end 13 years of running a retreat, training & firewalking centre.

So while we wait out for Spring we are very busy preparing for the new centre based in Somerset near to the coast!
Gifts of Nature has crafted some beautiful pieces of artwork for the new guest accommodation & will be very busy for a few winter months making all sorts of stunning creations to decorate our new centre & to offer new ranges of handcrafted gifts made at the Centre especially for you!…It’s so exciting!

For all of our lovely guests who have enjoyed their visit to The Martinsell Centre, we are very pleased to offer our cosy self contained apartments for short break holiday stays. There are new super king-sized beds with orthopaedic sprung memory foam mattresses, deep & comfortable for a restful night's sleep.

We know people are finding it difficult to stretch their pennies in this unsettling climate at the moment so we have reduced the tariff from £110 per night to 0nly £85 per night per apartment! There is a minimum of 2 nights booking.

Only 2 apartments are available over the Christmas period, 23rd Dec - 2nd Jan £135 per night. Stay for a few nights or take a whole week!
Bedrooms can be made with twin beds or super king size.

So if you are looking to have a peaceful Christmas in the countryside in your own private cosy fully equipped apartment with lots to do from country walks to indoor rock climbing or seeing the historical sights to grabbing that last-minute bargain at the designer outlet, The Martinsell Centre is the perfect place to stay.

The weather as always was so kind & the wind came to play with the fire making delightful patterns in the air.
