On behalf of the Oban Hospice Dove Service, we extend our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in tomorrow's Hogmanay Shinty Match at Mossfield at 1pm.
This special event, held in of memory of Donald ‘Moonis' MacVicar, will feature a match between Oban Camanachd Over 30's and Under 30's teams.
Donations collected at the gate will directly benefit The Dove Centre.

If you or anyone you know lives with any form of sight loss, such as retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration, or similar? Beyond Vision is a local support group for people living with any level of sight loss. They discuss all things related to vision impairment, coping strategies, technology, and hints and tricks for everyday life.
Beyond Vision's first get-together of 2026 is with us here at the Dove Centre on Wednesday, the 7th of January. Just drop in!

"The Bank of Scotland's Super Christmas
Hamper Raffle successfully raised £478 for your Oban Hospice Dove Service, thanks to the exceptional efforts of the Oban branch staff. This amount will be match-funded by the Bank of Scotland Foundation. The raffle, drawn last Friday, was won by lan MacKinnon of Kilmelford. Congratulations to lain, and hearttelt thanks to all who participated. Once again, we extend our gratitude to everyone at the Bank of Scotland for their invaluable support.

David Evans from our Oban Hospice
Fundraising Group was joined at the Dove Centre on Friday, December 19th, by David and Christine Entwistle for the 'Dram Draw’.
David and Christine generously donated a bottle of Ardbeg Mhor whisky (4.5L). From the subsequent sales, a fantastic amount of £1,100 has been raised for two charities close to David Entwistle's heart: our Oban Hospice Dove Services (where David was the former chair) and MND Scotland. There could only be one lucky winner! The winning number (No. 58), drawn by Christine, belonged to Alex Clark from Oban. Alex has been notified and visited the Centre on Friday afternoon to collect his winnings.

The beautiful Light Up a Life tree by Oban Hospice Dove Services, at the Corran Halls, Oban. Due to Storm Bram, this year’s ceremony was cancelled but the switch on went ahead thanks to staff at the Corran Halls and Oban Electrical Services.

Thank you to everyone who submitted a dedication in memory of a loved one and donated to our charity.

The dedication book is on display in the Dove Centre, Stevenson Street, for anyone who wishes to view it.

🎄Bank of Scotland Christmas Raffle🎄
Your Oban Hospice Dove Services are being supported this Christmas by the wonderful team at the Bank of Scotland, Station Square, through their fantastic Christmas Hamper Raffle!
To take part, simply visit the branch and enter the raffle by making a donation. You could be the lucky winner of a super Christmas hamper while helping to support individuals in our community through our services-Dove Centre, Dove Outreach, and Dove Befriending.
The raffle draw will take place on the 19th of December, and all proceeds will go directly to supporting our vital work within the local community.
On behalf of Oban Hospice Dove Services and the wider community, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the bank.

The days are running down to Friday, December 19th, when the lucky winning number will be drawn for the superb prize of a special 4.5-liter bottle of Ardbeg Mhor Whisky! Tickets are £10 each, with all funds raised in aid of Oban Hospice Dove Services and MND Scotland. If you haven't joined and would still like to, just drop in to the Oban Hospice Dove Centre, Stevenson Street, Oban.Tickets will be available until 1:00 PM on Friday.

Welcome to our Oban Hospice December SuperDraw, hosted by David Evans. David, from our fundraising group, is joined by this month's guest, lain MacKinnon, chair of Oban Hospice, to draw the all-important numbers and reflect on what has been a year of change for our Dove Services. This month's first prize of £200 was won by Ibby, with the second prize going to lain MacKechnie. Congratulations to both!
