Tragically passed away at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, on Saturday 11th October 2025, aged 58 years.

Beloved husband of Denise, much loved and sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at the Exeter & Devon Crematorium, on Friday 14th November at 1.30pm, in St Peter’s Chapel.

Casual Funeral Operative Required

We require an additional person to join our team, on a zero hour basis. Your duties would include, bearing for funerals, out of hours call outs, cleaning and driving of funeral vehicles.

Smart appearance essential, and a can do attitude.

You must be physically fit for the roll and approximately 5’10” in height to match in with the other team members when the coffin is carried upon the shoulders.

Would suit a retired individual who is looking for something honourable and to serve their community.

Direct or a non attended cremation is certainly the right option for some, but on reflection some families have regretted their decision afterwards and by then it is too late, it’s important to think of all the options and consider what is a funeral for….

Here we are at the very beautiful and historic St Andrew’s Church, Coryton, today for the burial of a lovely gentleman, and wonderful to see and work with Rev Gill George again, who was our local curate in Okehampton, who is now serving her own Parish’s as the priest in charge.
